Jeremy and EmberJeremy French BVMS MRCVS - Director, Veterinary Surgeon

Jeremy graduated from Glasgow University in 1986. His first position was as a veterinary assistant at a mixed practice in Pulborough where he stayed for 2.5 years. He then moved to Littlehampton where he consolidated his surgical skills. Jeremy came to Heene Road in 1989, where he became a partner in 1990 and has remained ever since. He is now the sole Director of both the Heene Road and the Goring Road surgeries.

Jeremy has just gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery - a further qualification in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, which he passed with a distinction.

Jeremy is married to Fiona, and between them they have a baby Alanna and he has two older children Samuel and Naomi . They live with a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a 3 legged Staffordshire bull terrier, 2 cats and 2 ferrets. They also have 4 ponies, and Jeremy has recently learnt to ride.  He also enjoys running and photography.   In his spare time, Jeremy is a keen campaigner for the endangered black rhino, and has climbed Kilimanjaro twice to raise money for Save the Rhino International.

Fiona and YetiFiona French BVetMed (Hons) PGCert SAS MRCVS RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery- Veterinary Surgeon

Fiona qualified in 2007 from the Royal Veterinary College.  Initially she worked in a rural mixed practice in Devon, before deciding to concentrate on small animals.  She spent 2 years working in a large hospital practice in Plymouth, where she learnt many of her surgical skills, before moving to West Sussex and starting at Heene Road in August 2013.

Fiona has gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery - a further qualification in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, which she passed with a distinction, and is a RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery.  She also has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging, though she loves all aspects of being a small animal vet.

Fiona is married to Jeremy, and between them they have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 4 ponies, who keep them very busy.  They also have a baby daughter called Alanna who regularly visits the surgery and is growing up to be an animal lover!  Fiona enjoys hacking out on the South Downs, and occasionally competing in local showjumping events.

Sarah WalkerSarah Walker MA VETMB MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Sarah graduated from Cambridge university in 2012. She spent the summer after graduation volunteering at a street dog clinic in Sri Lanka, before starting working in mixed practice and subsequently small animal practice in Horsham. 

She moved to Heene Road Vets in October 2016. Sarah enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, but particularly likes looking into animal's eyes and is studying for a certificate in small animal ophthalmology. This will give her extra expertise in this area, and she is enjoying offering extra care to the more complex cases with some of the new equipment she has at Heene Road. She also enjoys the challenges of medicine cases including ultrasound scanning. 
Sarah lives in Horsham with her husband and her extremely fluffy Persian cat Neville, a rescue from her first job. In her time off Sarah enjoys sailing and is a member at Lancing Sailing Club, and has recently started stand-up paddle boarding as well. Working by the sea is a bonus!
Kelly BealingKelly Bealing DVM MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Kelly qualified in 2014 from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Kosice, Slovakia. Initially she worked in a small animal surgery in Crawley, before moving to Worthing and starting at Heene Road in October 2015.

Kelly spent a month in Malaysia volunteering for a charity, which allowed her to develop her surgical skills, by helping with their neutering program.

Kelly has two cats which she decided to adopt after fostering them for the Cats Protection. She also has a bearded dragon called Yoshi who the cats find very interesting. Kelly enjoys swimming, visiting new places and spending time with her friends and family.
