Information on Coronavirus (COVID-19) for clients

We are pleased to announce that clients we be allowed back into the consult rooms from Monday 12th  April.

With the gradual easing of restrictions we felt we would like to welcome face to face consultations with our clients. Therefore from Monday 12th April we are allowing 2 clients at a time into the waiting room & 1 client at a time into the consultation room.

Clients must be wearing a face covering at all times, social distance 2 metres from other clients & staff members, and use the hand gels provided on entering the waiting areas.

Please notify us of your arrival via PetsApp. We will then notify you when we are ready for you and your pet to come in to the waiting area.

At Heene Road we have a marquee in the garden with seats to wait in, or if you are parked nearby you can wait in your car until asked to come in.

If you do not have PetsApp installed, please phone the surgery using your mobile or if needed ring the door bell & wait for someone to come to you.

If you would prefer to wait outside while the vet examines your pet that is absolutely fine too.

Appointments at the Heene Road Surgery

Will remain open as normal – 8.30 – 6.30 Mon – Fri, and 8.30 – 1 on Saturdays.

Appointments at the Goring Road Surgery

From Monday 8th March the Goring surgery will be open 5 days a week – opening hours are:

Monday 8.30am-1pm, 2pm – 6.30pm

Tuesday 8.30am-12pm, 2pm-6.30pm

Wednesday 8.30am-12pm, 2pm-6.30pm

Thursday 8.30am-1pm, 2pm – 6.30pm

Friday 8.30am-12pm, 2pm-6.30pm

Medication and food will also be available for collection there.


We are asking all our clients who are able to, to download our free app, PetsApp.  This will allow you to send us a message once you arrive, so you can stay in your car with your pet until we notify you back that we are ready to receive you.

Please make sure you allow push notifications when prompted as this will allow us to contact you.

We would suggest you do this right away & put in your pet’s details so that you are ready to use it in case you need an appointment in an emergency.

If you are unable to down load the PetsApp please don’t worry -just call us when you arrive at the surgery.

PetsApp also has other uses- the vet can video call you through the app during the consultation so you can see what is happening with your pet and talk to the vet.

It will be the platform we use for any video consultations

You can use it to re order repeat medications or food for your pet

You can even pay using the App on your mobile phone (a super safe way to pay)

Repeat Prescriptions

You can order you repeat prescriptions & pet’s food using PetsApp, our web site or phoning the surgery. We are asking all clients to pay for repeat medication and food orders before coming in to collect them, to reduce time and physical contact during collection.

If you think your pet has an emergency please call the main surgery on 01903 200187.

We ask that anyone who is showing potential symptoms of the virus, namely a new, continuous cough or high temperature, to not attend the surgery during the recommended self-isolation period. Instead, please call the surgery to discuss the most appropriate action to access the care your pet needs.

If you are self-isolating due to being vulnerable to the Coronavirus, please call us and we will work with you to ensure your pet gets the care they need without putting you at unnecessary risk.
